MARDAN, Oct 14: Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherapo has said that the decision of royalty on net hydel profit was the sincerity of centre and not the achievement of Muttahida Majlis-i- Amal (MMA) government.

Talking to local newsmen here at the residence of Senator Ghufranullah, Sherpao claimed that the decision of the tribunal about the hydel profit was the sincerity of the centre and not the success of MMA government.

He claimed that without the cooperation of centre no programme or project was possible, therefore, the centre has decided to adopt equal policy and attitude for the provinces.

He claimed that the announcement of package for Balochistan and job opportunities for the youth was the implementation of the same policy.

He said that numerous bombs exploded in Dera Bugti before the death of Akbar Bugti but now the situation was calm in Balochistan.

Mr Sherpao claimed that large number of exiled local people of Bugti tribes had been rehabilitated in their area while more were coming back to their houses.

The minister said the government had not reached any deal with the Taliban in the province, however, political agent and the NWFP governor had made an agreement with them in Waziristan.

He rejected allegations of Indian government that some Pakistanis were involved in Mumbai blasts, however, if credible evidence was provided, Pakistan could determine true position.

About the recovery of missiles and rockets from the premises of parliament house eight people had been arrested.

He confirmed that dialogue between the government and Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) were ongoing, however, no deal had been reached yet.
