HYDERABAD, Oct 11: The Taluka Staff Union (CBA) of Hyderabad city taluka has severely criticised the DCO and the treasury office of Hyderabad for withholding salary of municipal employees.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the chairman of the union, Hazura Masih, president Ghulam Mohammad Qureshi and general secretary Akram Rajput said that municipal employees of the city taluka had not received their salary for the month of September due to anti-workers stance of the DCO and the treasury office.

They said that Eidul Fitr and Diwali were round the corner, but municipal employees were deprived of their hard earned wages and could not purchase necessary items for their children to celebrate Eid and Diwali.

They accused the DCO and the treasury office of resorting to delaying tactics in payment of salary.

They demanded of the high-ups to take notice of the anti-workers stance of the DCO of Hyderabad and the treasury office and warned that the union will be compelled to resort to extreme steps if payment of their salary was not ensured before Eid and Diwali.
