PHF conducts elections


PESHAWAR, Oct 9: Shariq Khan and Hidayatullah have been elected as president and secretary general of the Peshawar District Hockey Association on Monday.

Simultaneously, Zahir Mohammad Khan and Ziaullah Khan were elected as president and secretary of the Nowshera District Hockey Association.

The elections were conducted by senior olympian Jahangir Ahmed Butt on directives of the Pakistan Hockey Federation president Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.

Peshawar District Hockey Association office-bearers:

Shariq Khan (president), Syed Zahir Shah (senior vice-president), Abdul Rauf and Bukhtiar Khan (vice-presidents), Hidayatullah Khan (general secretary), Professor Rashid Khan and Khadim Hussain (joint secretaries), Saleem Khan (treasurer), Mohammad Asif (executive council chairman), Mohammad Ayub, Mohammad Tufail, Master Khan, Jehanzeb Khan, Ayaz Khan, Shah Riaz Bokhari (executive council members).

Nowshera District Hockey Association office-bearers:

Sher Mohammad (senior vice president), Asghar Ali and Akhtar Mohammad (vice-presidents), Syed Mukharam and Bakhtiar Khan (joint secretaries), Shoukat Mehmood (treasurer), Hajid Nawar Khan, Abdul Bari, Kalim Islam, Tahir Mohammad (executive council members).—APP
