Mumtaz urges joint struggle for rights

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Oct 9: The Chairman of Sindh Qaumi Ittehad (SQI) and Sindh National Front (SNF), Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, has urged the people to unite under one flag instead of holding protests under different platforms for restoration of their rights.

Addressing a reception at the Arain Bhutta village on Monday, he maintained that staging rallies and protests in groups for restoration of rights seems good but the methodology could only result in media sessions.

He urged lawyers, labourers, students, low paid employees, traders and those who are representing different sectors of society, to converge on a single platform and initiate a meaningful struggle to get back the ‘robbed rights’ of Sindh.

He said that rulers’ atrocities had not only made the Sindhis to realize but also pushed them to walk on the path of revolution, as unending protests, rallies and demonstrations all around the province had strengthened the traditions of agitating against injustice and inequality.

Mr Amir Bakhsh Bhutto, Vice Chairman of SNF, Syed Hassan Mehmood Shah Amroti, Zaheer Bhutto and others also spoke on the occasion.

NAREJOS: The relatives of the four persons belonging to Narejo clan who were murdered a month ago in a Larkana’s locality, held a demonstration outside the district council hall on Monday.

Yusuf Narejo, whose father, mother, sisters and an infant were killed over old enmity, led the protest along with Bashir Narejo.

They accused the investigation police of indifferent and lethargic attitude for its failure to arrest those nominated in the FIR even after passage of a month’s time.

They warned of self-immolation if the nominated persons were not arrested by 27th of Ramazan.
