Imran spins SP to defeat

KARACHI, Oct 8: PIA Academy and Bed & Bath CC recorded easy victories in the 21st Karachi Gymkhana-AKD Ramazan cricket tournament at the KG Ground on Sunday.

PIA Academy defeated Sindh Police by 34 runs with leg-spinner Imran Tahir bagging four for 22 after Agha Sabir’s 55 had guided the academy to 191 for four.

In the other fixture, Shahzeb Khan hit 71 as Bed & Bath made 167 for five against A.O.CC, who finished at 132 for six to lose by 35 runs.

PIA Academy beat Sindh Police by 34 runs.

PIA ACADEMY 191-4 in 20 overs (Agha Sabir 55, Mahmood Hamid 40 not out, Khurram Manzoor 36, Kamran Sajid 28; Shujaat Ali 2-38); SINDH POLICE 157-8 in 20 overs (Kamran bin Mansoor 55 not out, Akif Alvi 25, Kamran Hussain 24, Zeeshan Pasha 20; Imran Tahir 4-22, Nauman Alvi 2-37).

Bed & Bath CC beat A.O.CC by 35 runs.

BED & BATH CC 167-5 in 20 overs (Shahzeb Khan 71, Raees Ahmed 43, Nadir Ansari 27; Hasan Raza 3-27, Ijaz Ahmed 2-27); A.O.CC 132-6 in 20 overs (Hasan Raza 47, Nadeem Shaikh 21, Shaheen Malik 21 not out; Zeeshan Jameel 3-23).
