ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: A man was stabbed to death by his ex-girl friend, police said on Wednesday. Mazhar Iqbal, 27, working with Inter Services Intelligence as an operator and was a resident of Fatehjahng, suffered two stab wounds at Saray-i-Khurboza in the jurisdiction of Golra police station.

Police said Iqbal, a personnel of Pakistan Air Force, fell in love with GF, and he promised to marry her. But he got married to his cousin five months ago.

Despite his marriage, he kept on trying to ensure his girl friend that he would marry her soon. But she did not trust him.

Police said last Thursday they met and remained together till evening. At the end of the meeting GF angrily left Iqbal at Tarnol Bus stop. However, she returned after few minutes, and during a scuffle GF pulled out a knife and stabbed Iqbal in his right chest followed by another stab in the back.

However, the injured managed to reach home from where he was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) but he died before reaching the hospital.
