SEOUL, Oct 3: Eleven people were killed and dozens injured in a horrific 29-vehicle pile-up on Tuesday as millions of South Koreans headed home for a national holiday, officials said.

The accident happened in fog on the West Sea Grand Bridge on the West Coast Expressway, after a 12-tonne truck rammed a smaller truck.

The collision sparked a pile-up and a blaze that engulfed 12 vehicles and brought northbound traffic on the expressway to a halt.—AFP
