AFC names officials for qualifier

LAHORE, Oct 1: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has appointed Manirul Islam (Bangladesh) as Match Commissioner of Pakistan-Jordan clash in the 14th Asian Cup qualifier ( Group-C) to be held at Punjab Stadium on Oct 11.

Kyrgyzstan 's Viktor Kolpakov will act as Referee Assessor. He also supervised the Pakistan-Sri Lanka World Cup qualifier at Bangkok on May 30,2001. Both, Manirul Islam and Kolpakov, were in Pakistan last year to attend AFC Regional Member Association Instructors' Refereeing Course (Central and South Asia) held at Jinnah Sports Complex, Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad from May 24 to 28.

The AFC also named four FIFA Referees from Tajikistan to supervise the match. Among them Dilovar Orzuev is referee while Nasriddin Azizov and Alisher Karaev will assist him on touchlines while fourth official will be Kiyomiddin Safarov.
