Seven die in accident on highway

By Our Correspondent

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Sept 18: Seven people were killed and 15 others injured when a trailer rammed into a stationary wagon on the Indus Highway on Monday. The accident occurred at Adda Ibrahim, 22km from here, where the Taunsa-bound wagon halted to pick up passengers.

Three of the dead were identified as Rabia Bibi, 15, Kalsoom Mai and her one-year-old son Waqas.

Rest of the bodies, kept at Shah Sadardin rural health centre, were mutilated beyond recognition.

Some of the injured were brought to a hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to sources, the wagon driver halted his vehicle in the middle of the road while the driver of the loaded trailer did not reduce his speed in the populated area.
