Mehtab excels with hat-trick
KARACHI, Sept 14: A hat-trick by Mehtab propelled GBSS Agro Technical School to a 4-3 victory over PIA Model School in the Munawwaruz Zaman memorial Inter-school hockey on Thursday.
Metab opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Tanzeem equalized for the losers in the 25th minute. Mehtab found the cage for his second in the 38th minute before completing his treble two minutes later.
Fayyaz reduced the margin for the losers in the 45th minute, while Mufasir restored parity five minutes later. Mehtab finished off with his fourth in the 58th minute.
In another match, Graceful Grammar School thrashed Gulberg Town School 8-0. Saeed Hameed netted four times, Ali scored three goals, while Aqeel found the target once.
S.A.L School Steel Town outplayed C.A.A Model School 5-0. Afzal, Attaur Rahman, Tanveer Hussain, Rizwan and Amin were the scoerers.—Sports Reporter
