India U-19 on top in 2nd Test

LAHORE, Sept 14: A double ton by Tanmay Srivastava and a century by Piyush Chawla put India Under-19 in a commanding position on the second day of the second ‘Test’ against Pakistan Under-19 at the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on Thursday.

Srivastava hit a 272-ball 220 with 29 fours while Chawla made 146 off 172 balls with 15 fours as the visitors declared their first innings at a formidable 611 for nine declared after resuming at 393 for four.

Pakistan Under-19, in reply, were tottering at 109 for six with skipper Mohammad Ibrahim scoring 53.

For the home side, paceman Mohammad Naveed claimed five for 118.
