PESHAWAR: Iran’s help praised

PESHAWAR, Sept 5: NWFP Senior Minister Sirajul Haq has praised the government and people of Iran for their timely help for earthquake victims and said Tehran always remained in the forefront in helping the Ummah in hard times.

He was talking to the outgoing Iranian Consul General Muhammad Hasan Imani who had called on him at Markaz-i-Mashawarat and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. He also lauded Iran’s ‘courageous’ stand on international issues.

He said the Iranian government was serving the cause of the Ummah.

The minister underlined the need for close relations between the peoples of two countries.—PPI
