PESHAWAR: Five Bangladeshis sent back to Dubai

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Sept 5: Five Bangladeshis were deported on Tuesday after their arrival here from Dubai by an Emirates Airline flight on the charge of travelling on forged Pakistani visas, said an official source.

The accused could not satisfy the immigration staff at the Peshawar airport about the purpose of their visit to Pakistan, said Inamullah Khan Gandapur, assistant director, FIA.

Their names and passport numbers were: Mujeeb-ul-Haq, X-0703876; Anisul Haque, W-0871109; Kafil-ud-Din, Z-0593979; Muhammed Salim, W-0926349; and Muhammed Abdul Jalil, W-0870118.

The official said the accused had forged visas.

The five were sent back to Dubai by the same airline, he added.

DETAINED: The immigration police at Peshawar airport detained a passenger who was trying to travel to Riyadh on his brother’s passport on Monday.

Hamesh Gul, a resident of Mardan, presented the passport number KE-690439 issued to his elder brother Sani Gul to the immigration counter, the official said.

The immigration staff detected forgery in the passport and handed over the accused to the FIA passport circle for investigation.
