Bugti’s killing a conspiracy: Imran

OKARA, Sept 3: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has termed Nawab Akbar Bugti’s killing a conspiracy against the provinces of the country, and said those supporting Gen Musharraf on the issue have no political future

He was speaking at a public meeting on Sunday evening at the city’s Gol Chowk organised by the PTI’s local chapter.

Referring to Akbar Bugti’s killing, he said such acts would ultimately cause serious damage to the country.

He said the president was being only supported by a few generals, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and PPP Patriots, and added that the political parties on Gen Musharraf’s side had no role in the country’s politics in future as they would be rejected by the people in the next general elections.

Regarding the MQM, PTI chief said the party’s `dilemma’ was that it wanted to enjoy perks of being a government ally, and at the same time pretended to be in the opposition.

He said that he was ready to face all threats including imprisonment and state terrorism to `rid the country of army rule’.

PTI Punjab president Vice-Admiral Javid Iqbal (retired), Mazhar Sahi and Dr Shamm-ul-Haq were also present. arrested: Okara police on Sunday claimed to have arrested four outlaws involved in the killing of an ASI and two constables some three weeks back.

DPO Dr Osman Anwar in a press release issued here said that a police team, comprising DSP Shamsul Hasan, Hujra Shah Muqeem SHO Naqvi Opal and SI Aslam Pervaiz, arrested outlaws after a raid near Phoolnagar.

Those arrested were identified as Allah Ditta, Hanif alias Punnu, Muhammad Hanif and Rafi. While their eight accomplices — Siddique, Nazir, Shabbir, Shaukat, Hidayat, Sohna, Mansab Ali and Rubi — are still at large.

The arrested members of the Allah Ditta Odde gang was wanted by police of Okara, Kasur and Lahore districts. Police of other districts for their involvement wanted them in heinous crimes.
