PESHAWAR, Aug 29: The NWFP Senior Minister and Provincial Amir of Jamaat Islami Sirajul Haq has said that Balochistan tragedy is not accidental but a part of the preplanned conspiracy, adding that the ruling party was passing on the responsibility for the bloodshed in Balochistan on the president but in fact all of them were equally involved in the shameful operation.

Talking to a representative delegation of Kohistan led by Provincial Minister for Revenue, Maulana Asmatullah and District Nazim Kohsitan Dr. Saifur Rehman at his office Civil Secretariat Peshawar and JI representatives of Dir and Kohsitan at Markaz-i-Mashawarat Peshawar on Tuesday, the senior minister said that using the language of bullets in presence of the apex courts was regrettable.

He said those claiming enlightenment and moderation had started promoting terrorism by using force. However, he reiterated that the MMA would continue its peaceful campaign for revival of democracy according to constitutional and democratic norms.

Sirajul Haq said that the rallies held in Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore proved that people wanted a change.

He said that all the assembly and parliamentary leaders of MMA had submitted their resignations to the MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmad that would be presented to the speaker at an appropriate time.

He said that Islamic revolution was the key to solving all the problems and hardships faced by the people which was also integral part of the ideology of Pakistan. He said that it was a matter of immense concern for the nation that Balochistan had been presented as separate entity from Pakistan in the past decades and such approach had also been adopted for NWFP.

He said that enemy wanted to eliminate Pakistan and hence hatching internal and external conspiracies for the purpose. He said the nation was being divided on the basis of colour, creed, languages, regions, sects and religions but he regretted that our rulers were standing as speechless spectators.

He said Pakistan without Islam could not withstand but he said MMA would combat all such intrigues with missionary zeal.—PPI
