LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 28: Two children were buried alive while their mother and another relative were injured when their house collapsed due to heavy rain in the Mamakhel village here on Sunday evening.

The area was lashed by a severe windstorm followed by torrential rain, which uprooted trees and electricity poles and also inflicted losses to the property of people in Serai Naurang and other localities.

Witnesses said that the house of one Ghafoor Khan collapsed in the Mamakhel village due to the rain, killing two children and injuring their mother. Another relative of the family was also injured. The names of the dead and the injured could not ascertained.

The injured woman was admitted to the district headquarters hospital Bannu where she was stated to be out of danger.—Correspondent
