PESHAWAR: Law and order situation in NWFP, Fata discussed


PESHAWAR, Aug 24: NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai and Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani on Thursday reviewed the law and order situation in the province and discussed matters relating to public welfare.

The law and order situation in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas also came under discussion at the meeting held at the Governor’s House and progress made so far in this connection was described as satisfactory.

The governor and the chief minister agreed that the progress would bring positive effects on accelerating the pace of work on development projects as well as ensuring their timely completion.

It was noted that the initiatives taken by the government to ensure security in areas between Fata and settled districts were yielding positive results which would lead to a pleasant change in the life of people in the areas.

The governor and the chief minister expressed determination to maintain close coordination.—APP
