TIMERGARA: Two district councillors suspended

By Our Correspondent

TIMERGARA, Aug 5: Dir Lower district convener Zaheer Shah Khan has suspended the membership of two district councillors, sources said.

The sources said on Friday that the membership of two nazims, Sultanul Mulk and Mohammad Ayub Khan, were suspended on charges of remaining absent from three consecutive meetings of the council.

The sources said that the councillors were informed in time to attend the meeting but they failed to show up due to which the district convener took the step. Sultanul Mulk was a former officiating district nazim who was dismissed by the Peshawar High Court.
