KARACHI / ISLAMABAD, Aug 3: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that the coalition government will continue to work for the welfare of people and the country.
Talking to reporters at the airport on his return from Islamabad late on Wednesday night after a meeting with President Pervez Musharraf, he said: “We would soon evolve modalities for working.”
The governor said all the issues were thoroughly discussed at the meeting and expressed the hope that all the problems would be resolved.
He said President Musharraf had assured that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s reservations would be redressed.
He said the MQM’s ministers had begun performing their duties.
In Islamabad, Information and Broadcasting Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani told journalists on Thursday that the issue of resignations tendered by the MQM legislators had been amicably resolved.
“Governor Sindh on Wednesday night called on President Pervez Musharraf and the meeting resolved all the issues,” he said.
He said the coalition was working as a team.—PPI/APP
