KARACHI, Aug 3: Nomi Qamar has been top-seeded in the men’s singles of the Sindh Tennis Association Open which is being played at the synthetic courts of DHA Sunset Club from Aug 5 to 12.

Nomi, who was seeded third in the just concluded ranking tennis tournament, had to skip the men’s doubles final and men’s singles pre-final following minor injuries in a road accident. He is followed by the promising Yasir Khan.

Former national hard court champion, Seher Khwaja, has been nominated top seed for ladies singles while brothers Syed Abbas Raza and Syed Zuhair Raza are top seeded in juniors U-17 and boys U-15 singles categories.

The tournament which is the fourth Sindh ranking event of the year carries a total prize money of Rs 15,000.
