ISLAMABAD Aug 3: Speakers at a seminar on Thursday called upon the Muslim Ummah to forge complete unity in its ranks to end Israeli aggression in the Middle East and to face the challenges of the international anti-Islam forces bent upon targeting Muslim countries one after the other.
The seminar titled “Israeli aggression and international responsibility” was organised by Pakistan Institute of National Affairs and an Urdu daily and was attended by government, opposition and religious leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal president Qazi Hussain Ahmed said the spirit of jehad was spreading across the globe and Hezbullah and Hamas were its symbols.
He called for mobilisation of the masses to confront their rulers who, he said, had become coward pawns at the hands of the West due to their love of money and power and fear of death.

Minister for religious affairs Ijazul Haq called for uniting the nation on one platform and under one leader and said at least ten Muslim rulers should gather courage to challenge the United States against its anti-Islam designs.
In response to the seminar’s demand, he promised to ask prime minister Shaukat Aziz to convene a joint parliament session to debate the challenges to Islam and the Ummah and propose means to defend it.
He also agreed that the OIC should initiate a criminal case in the International Court of Justice against Israel’s involvement in massive violation of human rights, killing of civilian, children, women and innocent men.
He said American writer Brother Andrew had told him that Bush belonged to evangelist sect of Christianity which believed in occupation of Arab lands from Israel to rivers Euphrates to Nile, Egypt to Syria and Jordan, etc..

He said Israel’s aggression in Lebanon and Palestine should not be looked in isolation as it was part of a conspiracy to get hold of whole Arab world to set up a greater Zionist/Christian state.
Former ISI chief Lt-Gen Hamid Gul said nuclear power, spirit of jehad, democracy and above all sufficient valiance could stop Israel from making incursions into Muslim territories.
