LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Aug 3: A raiding party of law-enforcement agencies seized a radar system from a house in the Sheikhmal Khel village here on Thursday.

On a tip-off, Landi Kotal’s assistant political agent dispatched a contingent of the Khasadar force to the house of Khitab Khan alias Budda to seize the equipment peacefully. But inmates of the house did not cooperate and scuffled with Khasadar force personnel. They also resorted to firing. A Khasadar force personnel was injured in the scuffle.

Later, the party, comprising Khasadar force and Khyber Rifle personnel and headed by Col Qaiser Alam, raided the house and seized the suspected radar system, inscribed with “Made in USA” and “Bargam”.

Three people – Dawood, son of Khitab Khan, Zaheer, son of Madeen and Naheed son of Gul Khan, were arrested from the house. Mirajuddin, another son of Khitab Khan, managed to escape.
