MULTAN, Aug 3: A 400-kanal piece of land has been acquired to establish a Safari park along the road in the suburbs of the city at Mauza Balail near Chowk Naag Shah.
This was stated by city district nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar during a visit to the site for the park along with DOR Hameedullah Khan here on Thursday.
The DOR told the nazim that the site was some six kilometres away from Chowk Naag Shah and 14km from the city, making it the best suitable place for this entertainment facility.
The nazim said the wildlife department had assured liberal funding for the project. The park would have an attractive front elevation owing to its four-acre face along the main road, he said.
BUS TERMINAL: Punjab’s only modern and state-of-the-art bus terminal project is passing through final renovation and will soon be operational, says city district nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar.
“Ninety per cent work has been completed while the remaining work regarding its renovation will be completed soon,” FWO official Maj Naeemul Haq told the nazim during a visit to the under-construction project near the general bus stand.
DO (technical) Abdur Rasheed said the terminal would have facilities like a PIA office, cargo service, a post office, a dispensary, commercial shops, 25 booking offices, security system, public address system, modern seating and TV sets.— APP
