LAHORE, July 30: The Indian baseball team will be seen in action in Pakistan when they come to play a five-match series next year, Pakistan Baseball Federation secretary Khawar Shah told Dawn on Sunday.
"We extended an invitation to India to play a series in Pakistan from Jan 20 to Feb 4 and they have agreed," he said.
Khawar Shah said the PBF had considered Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Islamabad, Multan, and Faisalabad to host matches.
The secretary said that India had earlier refused to participate in the 7th Asia Cup qualifiers in Pakistan.
He disclosed that India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan showed interest in forming South Asian Baseball Federation to strengthen the game in the region.
Khawar added that Pakistan would host SABF’s first meeting, the dates of which would be finalised soon.
