LAHORE, July 24: Three-day trials to select Wohaib Club team to participate in the National Premier Football League will commence at the Punjab University Old Campus from Thursday.

The Premier League is scheduled to be held in September.

The head of the club, Hafiz Salman Butt, who is also former secretary of the Pakistan Football Federation, said at a press conference on Monday that the selection committee headed by former Pakistan captain Masood-ul-Hasan Butt with Tanvir-ul-Hasnain and Mohammad Riaz as members would conduct the trials.

The former secretary of the PFF said the Wohaib Club was one of the top 12 teams in the country and had won national under-21 title besides remaining runners-up in national under-17 and under-19 championships.
