KARACHI, July 24: Defending champions Wapda continued their winning spree when they notched up a 40-14 victory over Punjab Blues on the second day of the National Women Basketball Championship at the NSTCC on Monday.

Shaheena (11) and Imrana (10) were instrumental in their team’s triumph which led 19-11 at the breather.

Sindh Whites conjured up 13-10 victory over Police in a low scoring match.

In another match, Sindh Greens inflicted a 31-27 defeat on Islamabad.

The winners led 20-8 at half time. Anila and Shakila scored nine points apiece for the winning team.
