Model Town Greens triumph
LAHORE, July 17: Fine batting by Shahbaz Butt and devastating bowling by Akbar Ali enabled Model Town Greens, Lahore Club beat LESCO by eight wickets in the third NBP Cricket Cup at Okara Stadium ground on Monday.
Shahbaz struck 73 as Model Town Greens scored 224 for loss of two wickets in 43 overs.
Shaukat Ali grabbed four wickets for LESCO.
Akbar claimed four wickets for 43 runs to restrict LESCO to 222 for eight in the allotted 45 overs. Khurram Naveed hit 53.
