TORONTO, June 26: The Sindhi Association of North America (Sana) is holding its 22nd annual convention in Toronto from June 30 to July 3. In a press statement issued here on Monday, Aijaz Kolachi, Sana’s Canadian spokesman, said that a large number of Sindhis from the US and Canada are expected to attend the convention.

resentative organisation of Sindhis living in North America and it holds its convention every year.

Mr Kolachi said that during the three-day convention seminars, workshops and lectures would be organised on social, cultural and literary issues of Sindh.

He said that a ceremony would be held for students who had achieved distinctions in their studies in the US and Canada.

He said that meritorious Sindhi students would be given awards and shields.

A folk and mystical night has also been arranged to entertain delegates from all over the world.

Vocalists Manzoor Sakhirani, Hanif Lashari and Najaf Ali will perform at the function.

Political leaders including PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, PTI chief Imran Khan, Abid Hussain Minto, Murad Ali Shah and Sassui Palijo have also been invited to attend the convention.
