HYDERABAD, May 29: Members of the 10th Sindh Games organising committee visited different places in the city on Monday to finalise arrangements for the Games. Sindh Sports Minister Qamar Mansoor along with Ashraf Ali Shah and Subhago Jatoi visited Niaz Stadium where opening and closing ceremonies of the event would take place.

The committee was briefed about measures taken to facilitate spectators and players.

They visited Sindh Sports Board hostel, where secretariat of Sindh Games, currently working in Hyderabad Sports Complex, will be shifted after June 6.

Pubic School which was declared as Olympic village where a food street would also be established was also visited by the officials.

Various stalls will be set up in the school by culture and tourism department.

Male players will stay in four boys’-hostels of the school. 80 per cent work on grounds for athletic events is completed and it will be handed over to District Athletic Association.

Likewise, the football ground will be handed over to District Football Association by June 3.

Athletics and football events will be held in the evening for which 25 electricity-poles will be installed.
