LAHORE, May 23: Fine batting by Wajid Ali and fiery bowling by Saeed Siddique helped Model Town Greens enter the semifinals of the 9th Gold Cup defeating Shafqat Rana Academy by a big margin of 145 at the winner's ground on Tuesday.
Wajid hit 82 while Sohail Ahmed contributed 50 runs as the winners piled up 220-4 in the allotted overs.
Saeed picked up four wickets for 17 runs as Shafqat Rana Academy slumped to 75 all out in 17 overs.
