Accord on early IPI gas pipeline work


ISLAMABAD, May 22: The Iran-Pakistan-India working group on gas pipeline has reiterated that the project should be implemented as soon as possible for mutual benefit, says an official announcement. A two-day meeting of the trilateral working group started here on Monday. Secretary petroleum Ahmed Waqar, Deputy Oil Minister of Iran M H Nejad Hosseinian and Indian secretary petroleum M S Srinivasan are leading their delegations at the talks.

The meeting discussed the technical, financial and legal aspects of the project besides the issues of pipeline, project structure, route and feasibility study.—Staff Reporter
