Case registered against PPP activists

By Our Correspondent

NAWABSHAH, May 14: Seven activists of People’s Party Parliamentarians were booked on Sunday for their alleged involvement in smashing glasses of shops during strike call.

The A-section police lodged an FIR under section 427, 147, 148 PPC against PPP Nawabshah taluka secretary Noor Nawaz Zardari, Sohrab Khan Mari, Shoukat Zardari, Abid Channar of Sindh People’s Students Federation and three unidentified persons.

They were accused of breaking glasses of a photo laboratory and shop during the strike call on May 11.

Pakistan People’s Party Nawabshah district president Ghulam Qadir Chandio, MPA, and taluka president Ziaul Hassan Lanjhar condemned the registration of FIR against workers. They said that the strike was peaceful but the government was maligning the party. They demanded withdrawal of the case.
