Double success for Army
LAHORE, May 10: Army won two matches in the Governors's Cup national volleyball at the Jinnah Stadium, Gujranwala on Tuesday night.
Army first overcame Azad Jammu Kashmir 25-19, 28-26, 27-25. For the winners Bakhat and Naeem played vital roles. Later the soldiers outclassed Pakistan Steel 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.
In the other matches Pakistan Ordance Factory (POF) carved out 3-1 win against NWFP with the score being 25-21, 18-25, 25-19, 25-12 while Wapda edged past Punjab 25-18, 25-16, 25-14.
Eight teams are taking part in the tournament which was revived after four years.
