KARACHI, May 3: Shikhar Dhawan continued his good form in the ongoing EurAsia Cricket Series in Abu Dhabi as India ‘A’ cantered to an eight-wicket victory over Ireland ‘A’ on Tuesday.
Dhawan spanked an unbeaten 91 off 96 deliveries to help his side chalk up record its fourth consecutive victory in the six-nation tournament at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Ireland ‘A’, who elected to bat first, found the tough, especially against pacemen Rudra Pratap Singh and Shib Paul.
However, they managed to reach 182 mainly due to a sixth-wicket partnership of 86 between John Mooney (41) and Kevin O’Brien (36).
But Dhawan, who struck 13 boundaries, then made light work of the Irish bowling.
