KARACHI, May 3: Brisk shipping activity was witnessed at the port where two ships carrying containers and diesel oil were given berths at QICT and Fotco oil terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release.

Meanwhile four ships with containers, chemicals, edible oil and furnace oil arrived at the outer anchorage. The berth occupancy remained at 67 per cent on Tuesday as a total of six ships were accommodated on berths to load and offload containers, rice, sugar, diesel oil and coke.

Cargo volume of 0.102 million tons comprising 0.078 million tons import and 0.024 million tons export cargo, including 2,510 containers, was handled.

Three ships were due to sail on Wednesday.
