Landmines defused

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, April 29: Police on Saturday defused two powerful anti-tank landmines planted on the road near Radio Pakistan’s high-power transmitter in Khuzdar.

The area was cordoned off and the attempt to blow up vehicles was foiled after information was received about the planting of the powerful landmines in the Saman area, some 14 kilometres from the Khuzdar town.

District Police Officer Khuzdar, Aamir Siddique said that the PBC was saved from a “big disaster” and police recovered both the landmines safely.

The local administration summoned the staff of the bomb disposal to defuse the landmines.
