KARACHI, April 29: National tennis champion Aqeel Khan will take part in a series of International Tennis Federation (ITF) Satellite tournaments in Indonesia during the months of May and June.

Aqeel has sent his entry to organisers of the tournament which is starting from May 7 in Jakarta.

The circuit would include four tournaments.

Aqeel Khan said on Saturday about his participation: “My participation in the Satellite events would help my preparations for Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group-I relegation playoff against China in September.”

“Davis Cup assignment against China is a tough task and we've to work hard to retain Pakistan's place in Group-I as the loss would relegate us to Group-II,” he added.
