Duststorm hits parts of Sindh

SUKKUR, April 29: Several dozen trees and signboards were uprooted when a heavy duststorm hit Sukkur, Rohri, Pano Akil, Salehpat, Kandhra, Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo, Daharki, Ubauro, Jacobabad, Kandhkot, Kashmore and Thull on Saturday evening.

The storm started at about 6:00pm and was continuing with low intensity till the filing this report. According to reports, roofs of many thatched houses and signboards blew away. No casualty was reported.

It may be mentioned that upper Sindh was in the clutches of sizzling heat for a week and the storm some how eased the condition.

The weather become pleasant but repeated ouster of power irked people.

With frequent and repeated power outage many people also lost their precious electrical and electronic items.
