Govt failed to improve quality of life: PML-N

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, April 29: The quality of life of a common man as well as the law and order situation in the country have deteriorated significantly during the last six years, said PML-N information secretary Ahsan Iqbal.

In a statement issued here, Mr Iqbal claimed that President Gen Pervez Musharraf’s decision to stay in uniform aimed at keeping the nation subjugated by force and providing shelter to the turncoats, who did not stand a chance to win in the next elections without the general’s help.

He alleged that Gen Musharraf’s government compromised national dignity, sovereignty, and interests only to perpetuate his rule. His imported economic advisors imposed elitist economic policies, which have made rich richer and poor poorer.

The opposition is unanimous on one point that under Gen Musharraf, there is no chance of fair and free elections, the PML-N leader said.
