PESHAWAR, April 29: University Clean Day will be observed on May, 7. Vice-Chancellor of the Peshawar university, Prof Dr Haroon Rashid would launch the campaign.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of the vice-chancellor here on Saturday, a spokesman for the varsity said.
Registrar Sher Bahadur, Director Administration Iftikhar Hussain Khan The prime objective of observing the day is to pass on the message to the people that cleanliness is a vital part of faith and keeping in view our social responsibilities as citizens of the country we should keep our houses, streets and educational institutions clean. On this occasion, the university employees and staff assured the vice- chancellor of full cooperation in this connection. The spokesman said the university administration is focusing attention on both academic and extra-curricular activities as this help discover and polish the inborn qualities of students.—APP
