India favours diplomacy

By Our Correspondent

NEW DELHI, April 29: India reaffimed its support on Saturday for diplomatic efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear tangle and said all sides should show flexibility.

An Indian foreign ministry spokesman said the government had seen the report.

Friday’s report elaborates the developments since the last board meeting in March ‘in a factual and objective manner’, the spokesman said.

“The report provides a useful basis on which diplomatic efforts should continue to avoid confrontation and to promote an amicable solution.”

India continues to believe that a solution ought to be found through dialogue and confrontation should be avoided at all costs, the spokesman said.
