Hall for mango exhibitions

MIRPURKHAS, April 28: The district government is building a big air-conditioned hall at a cost of Rs45 million in the Sindh Horticulture Research Institute for holding mango exhibitions.

In a meeting of Mango Flower National Festival Organisation Committee on Thursday, Mohammed Anwar Gondal who chaired it said that the hall would be patterned after Karachi’s Expo Centre.

The meeting formed a city beautification committee to be headed by Taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastagir Khan, which would ensure cleanliness and illumination of the city and fixing posters and banners.

The meeting was attended by EDO (agriculture) Riaz Dayo, DDO (revenue) Asif Ikram, Sindh Horticulture Research Institute Director Mukhtiar Jafri, S A Khan and Dr Yar Mohammed Janjhi.
