TV director among 10 killed

DADU, April 27: Director of a private regional language television channel, seven members of his family, his driver and a close friend were killed while five others were injured after their wagon collided with a cargo trailer near Manjhand on Thursday.

The accident occurred at Weeh Dai near Manjhand on the Indus highway, killing director of Sindh TV G.M. Khokhar, Ghulam Hussain Khokhar, Altaf Hussain Khokhar, mother Ms Shahzadi, a minor girl Uroosa, niece of G.M.Khokhar, one of their relatives, cameraman Muneer Ahmed Khokhar, Ghulam Sarwar Solangi and driver Fayaz Malano.

According to reports, Sindh TV director G.M. Khokhar and his family members were on their way to Larkana to attend a marriage ceremony.

Ms Nazia, Murtaza Khokhar’s wife, a minor boy Mubashir, girls Dua and Muqadas and Fazal, cleaner of the cargo trailer, were injured.
