Frontier Open from today

PESHAWAR, April 27: The 16th Frontier Open golf championship, carrying prize money of Rs3,50,000 will tee-off over 54-holes Friday at PAF Golf Course.

Addressing a press conference, secretary general, Frontier Golf Association (FGA), Mehmood Aziz, said that all arrangements have been completed.

Around 250 golfers in various categories have arrived to take part in the competition.

Prominent among them are: in amateur Waqas Ahmed, Safdar, Tariq Mehmood, Mehmood Aziz, Umer Arbab, Waseem Rana while in professional Shabir Ahmed, Shahid Javed, Muhammad Munir, Imdad Hussain, Javed Inayat and Naseer Khan will vie for the lucrative cash prizes.

Other categories to be contested are for youngsters aged 13-18 and veterans (over 55 years) will be held over 36 holes, with one stroke for every two years above 65 years while boys (U-14) and ladies with minimum six entries of maximum HCP 24.—APP
