Two gangs smashed; valuables recovered

RAHIM YAR KHAN, April 26: Police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested 18 dacoits of five gangs and recovered six tractors, 27 motorcycles and illicit weapons from their possession.

DPO Syed Ahsan Mehboob said at a press conference here that he evolved a plan to arrest the gangsters after numerous complaints of people of Saddar Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad police circles.

He said a police party, led by DSP Rana Saeed Ahmed Khan and RY Khan Saddar SHO Abbas Akhtar, smashed Noonari gang and Mishri Magsi gang and recovered four tractors, 10 motorcycles and illicit arms from them.

He said another team, led by Sadiqabad ASP Syed Pir Muhammad Shah and Saddar SHO Ayyaz Ahmed Leghari, smashed Aslam Bhanga, Zulfi Mohana and Jabbar gangs. The police seized 17 motorcycles, two tractors, a kalashnikov, a gun, three pistols, a carbin, six cartridges, 11 bullets and 27 rounds.
