Basketball probables

KARACHI, April 25: The Sindh Women Basketball Association on Tuesday named 22 probables for short camp at the end of trials for the coming National women basketball championship being held at the city’s women sports complex from May 2.

According to secretary, Karachi City District Amateur Basketball Association (KCDABBA), Abdul Nasir, hosts Sindh would field two teams of 12 players each in the competition.

According to him, a similar camp is being conducted at Hyderabad for the probables picked there after trials.

In all, 48 women appeared in the trials held at the National Sports Training and Coaching Centre (NSTCC).

Anila Yaqoob, Mehwish Farooq, Shahana Ismail, Hajra Rehman, Shakeela

Rehman, Nusrat Afza, Faryal Shah, Saba Amber, Saba Zaidi, Saim Hafeez,

Uzma Shah, Saira Younus, Alfia Saifuddin, Sundus Khalid, Nadia Ismail,

Sidra Iftikhar, Nida Khan, Nausheen Jahan, Rufi, Nusrat Jehan, Shabana

Azfar and Nazia Erum.

Mrs. Akhtar Ganjera (camp commandant), Syed Raza Agha (coach).
