QUETTA, April 25: The Association of Private Hospitals and Maternity Homes Balochistan has announced to close all private hospitals from tomorrow as a goodwill gesture to doctors of government hospitals who are observing strike.
Speaking at a joint press conference here on Tuesday, the association’s representatives Dr Azam, Agha Gul, Dr Amir Mohammad Nasar and Asal Din Khan Mandokhel announced to support all demands of the doctors of government hospitals.
They said that there would be no OPD and other medical facilities available in all private hospitals from tomorrow, adding that the private hospitals were joining hands with Pakistan Medical Association which had already announced strike all over the province in support of doctors’ demands.
They asked the people to approach casualty department of civil hospital and Bolan Medical Collage Hospital in case of any emergency.
Meanwhile the strike of government hospital doctors entered the third day on Tuesday and no doctor was available in the Civil Hospital, Bolan Medical Collage Hospital, Chest Hospital and other medical centres of the province.
The president of Balochistan Pakistan Medical Association said: “Doctors feel insecurity in view of these incidents.”
The PMA has demanded immediate arrest of dacoits and strict action against those involved in torturing of doctors.
