Demo against police

SIALKOT, April 24: Shabab-i-Milli activists staged a protest demonstration in front of the DPO office against the Begowala police failure to arrest an influential who criminally assaulted a minor in Begowala village about two weeks ago.

MMA MPA Advocate Arshad Mahmood Baggu led the demonstration. The protesters were holding placards and chanted anti-police slogans. They said that the Begowala police was reluctant to arrest accused Ali Raza nominated in the FIR.

Later, the protesters met the additional SP and informed him about the highhandedness of police. The SP assured them of early arrest of the accused. — Correspondent
