GUJRANWALA, April 24: The sales tax registration process of industrialists will be completed within a week without any unnecessary scrutiny.

This was stated by sales tax member Shahid Khan while talking to a delegation of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by president Akhlaq Ahmad Butt, at his office on Monday.

He said refund claims of gas and power supply would also be disposed of within a week.

Mr Khan said exporters would be exempted from recovery of sales tax on raw material on their good performance. He said pending cases of de-registration regarding input and output during 2004-05 fiscal year had been cleared.
