Man commits suicide

RAWALPINDI, April 24: A man committed suicide in his house at Tench Bhatta here on Monday, police said. Syed Mukhtar Hussain Shah, 55, had been in distress since the closure of his shop due to financial problems. Amir Hussain, the elder son of the victim, complained to the police that he found his father hanging with a rope tied to the ceiling of his room when the door was forcibly opened.

Police and hospital authorities said apparently the victim had committed suicide.—Staff Reporter
